EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: IT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR & SUPPORT ENGINEER

​

The Transworld Group provides professional services (Treasury, Legal, HR, Payroll and IT) to eleven legal entities within the group, based in Windhoek, Walvisbay, Katima Mulilo, Aussenkehr, Upington and Johannesburg. TWG is looking for a proactive, highly motivated and security-oriented IT Systems Administrator & Support Engineer to provide technical support while maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, servers, networks, and security systems. The role combines end-user support, systems administration, infrastructure, cybersecurity, telecommunication, networking, backup and disaster recovery and hardware maintenance across multiple branches. The ideal candidate must possess excellent troubleshooting skills, a strong customer-service mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement and cybersecurity.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.

  • 3-5 years' experience in IT technical support and systems administration

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to branch offices when required.

  • Networking and firewall fundamentals certification will be advantageous.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Essential

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.

  • 3-5 years' experience in IT technical support and systems administration.

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to branch offices when required.

  • Networking and firewall fundamentals certification will be advantageous.

Advantageous

  • Proxmox, Docker, SQL Server, PowerShell scripting and ITIL Foundation.

  • Microsoft, VMware VCP and/or Veeam VMCE certifications.

​

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Security-conscious, detail-oriented, professional and trustworthy.

  • Able to work independently and under pressure, while contributing effectively as part of a team.

  • Strong organisational and documentation skills with a willingness to learn new technologies.​
